About Us 
The Clovis Independent is the only newspaper devoted strictly to news about Clovis, California and the Clovis Unified School District. All our news is local news, and we don't use wire services or syndicated columns to supplement our coverage. We strive to attend all City Council meetings and all Clovis Unified Governing Board meetings in order to keep our readers informed of key decisions by these governing bodies.
We publish every Friday in two sections, News and Sports, and we have won top statewide journalism awards for our extensive coverage of Clovis Unified sports. Every week we also strive to produce a paper that's full of interesting features, business profiles and human interest stories.
The newspaper is available by subscription and is sold in newsstands throughout Clovis and northeast and southeast Fresno.
The Clovis Independent is owned by The McClatchy Company, but all editorial pieces and ads are produced locally. Our office is located at 1626 E. Street, Fresno 93706 in Downtown Fresno. Our main telephone number is 559-298-8081.
